Meghan Markle and Prince Harry signs new Netflix deal to become Hollywood producers to give hope with films and shows.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have recently signed a huge deal with Netflix that will give them the opportunity to make films and shows that will give hope.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have decided to turn themselves into Hollywood royals as the deal which they have recently signed with the streaming giant will make their family own a film production company to make family programmes for Netflix.
The production company and family programmes which they have signed to create will be a subsidiary of the streaming giant.(Their company will be dependent on Netflix).
Netflix will pay the couples to make documentaries, docu-Series,feature films, scripted shows and children programmes.
The value of the Hollywood deal they have is not exactly known, but it is estimated that they could earn more than £187 million, which is equal to $250 million.
The couple said in a statement,
“Our lives, both independent of each other,and both as a couple have allowed us to understand the power of the human spirit: of courage, resilience and the need for connection.
“Through our work with diverse communities and their environments, to shining a light on people and causes around the world, our focus will be on creating a content that informs but also gives hope.
“As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us, as is powerful storytelling through a truthful and relatable lens”.
Before signing with Netflix, the New York Times reports that the two have had talks with Apple, Disney and NBCUniversal.
Netflix Co-Chief executives and chief content, Ted Sarandos, said in a statement,
“We're incredibly proud they have chosen to Netflix as their creative home and are excited about telling stories with them that can help build resilience and increase understanding for audiences everywhere”.
Earlier this month, the royal couple moved to their £11 million home in Santa Barbara after they stayed in Tyler Perry's £14 million mansion.
