Microsoft wants it TikTok deal to cover the whole world

Following Microsoft's bid to buy TikTok from the Chinese based company, Bytedance due to alleged security reasons to protect the information of the citizens of the US.

The Financial Times reports that Microsoft's deal to acquire TikTok in the United States also includes acquiring the platform in all part of the world. Microsoft wants to buys all TikTok's share in all part of the world including African countries, although these claims have not been confirmed as other news media have called the report false.

Microsoft and TikTok have refused to comment on the issue.
Initially Microsoft said that it was pursuing a deal to buy TikTok's presence the US, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. This deal might lead to a splitered version of the TikTok's app which will make the deal unstable for Microsoft, it might be the reason for the alleged claim to fully acquire the TikTok's platform global operation so as to enable the initial version to work normally without any split in operation.

If the alleged claim of Microsoft acquiring the platform's global operation is true, it would give them the much stronger position to operate the version of app that Bytedance operates in China.
