Whatsapp working on multiple device support with chat sync.

Whatsapp which is subsidiary of Facebook Inc is now working on new multiple device support with synchronized chat history. 

The Meaning of Sync 

Sync is a short for synchronize, when you sync a device such as a cellphone or IPod ,you synchronize it with the data on your computer, this is done by connecting your device to your computer by means of a USB cable or wireless connection. When a device is synced with a computer, it typically updates both the device and the computer with the most recent information. It also allows an account to be used on different devices at the same time. 

According to Wabetainfo.com whatsapp is working to sync the chat history across platforms, the options allows an account to be used on different devices at the same time."which is one of the most requested  feature but surely it's one of the most complicated to develop. This is because whatsapp has only worked on a single device and it takes a long time to implement...for this reason whatsapp is developing the feature in parts".

Whatsapp cited that it is not yet possible to use your whatsapp account on multiple devices currently and that the feature is being developed and will be released immediately when the feature is completed.

According to Wabeta, 

"Whatsapp is working on the possibility to use the same account on different devices.

"They are testing the feature in order to work with four devices at the same time, Whatsapp is already working to create another interface on the android app".

Whatsapp currently supports multiple devices from the whatsapp web which connects back to the phone but don't support multiple device to other devices yet. 

The whatsapp web requires a phone to be powered on and connected to the web, but this new multiple device support won't need to constantly connect back to a phone and will allow people to use whatsapp on multiple devices simultaneously. 

This new multiple device feature will also likely support chat history sync, which will allow whatsapp to sync their messages across all devices.
