President Trump says he will ban TikTok in US today

President Donald Trump says he will ban TikTok in US today.

Following the controversial the TikTok social media app,The US President Donald Trump has told reporters that he his going to officially ban TikTok from operating in the United States.

The President told reporters on Friday night that "As far as TikTok is concerned we are banning them from the United States". When he was asked when it was going to be banned he said "Soon,immediately, I mean essentially immediately".

He later said "I will sign the document tomorrow" just before the Air Force One landed in Washington from a visit to Florida.

According to Bloomberg report, 
President Trump said that he would ban Chinese-owned company TikTok from the US following concerns about data collection by the popular music-video app.

Donald Trump said he has the authority to ban the app which is owned by Bytedance Ltd, One of China's biggest tech companies,a move he could make by executive order or under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act.

Following the rumour that Microsoft is planning to buy TikTok, Trump said that the news of the deal that has been going around are fake ,he said "Not the deal that you have been hearing about, that they are going to buy sell, this and that, and Microsoft and another one, we are not an M&A company".

TikTok said that American database is stored in servers in US ,Singapore, not China. But TikTok terms of services stipulates that the company may share data and information with it parent company,subsidairy or any affiliation.
