Lebanon in mourning after drastic Beirut blast.
Following the blast in Lebanon, Beruit. Hospital's are struggling to cope with thousands of wounded after the huge blast ripped through the capital's seaport.
Lebanon is experiencing drastic changes and great mourning as the capital of the country is destroyed with thousands of casualties.the blast kills at least 100 people with 4000 injured,many are feared to be trapped under the rubble and ruins of the capital.
Lebanon has been among the developing countries in Asia with economic recession, the people and hospitals in Beruit are experiencing drastic shortages as treatment equipments and hospitals have been destroyed by the blast while casualties are lined up.
Ambulance throughout the night and mountains of glass were swept from shattered apartments to the disorganized streets, Exhausted emergency workers trudged through pre-dawn gloom with some holding sledgehammers to free victims trapped under the rubble and others holding water to help the situation.
Hospitals in Beruit has been overrun with wounded people and others are patiently looking or waiting for their loved ones to find them safely, pages have been posted online listing pictures of the missing and begging for information of their whereabouts. A two weeks state of emergency has been enforced by the president after authorities blame a huge store of highly reactive chemical ammonium nitrate for the explosion that sent a shock wave across the city shattering windows, collapsing roofs and making some homes in the city inhabitable.
The blast destroyed wheats in the port, which might make the country which is already suffering from food crisis due to the corona virus pandemic fall into further recession and economic meltdown.
It was reported that 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate which was stored unsafely in a warehouse in the port caused the explosion.
