Prime Minister Boris Johnson is considering a new measure that would be used to contain the corona virus in England incase there is another wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country.

The plans for new measures came after a rise in covid-19 cases,plans are being assessed by the Prime Minister to slow down the easing of the lockdown on Friday.
According to the Guardian; 
Johnson held a "War Game" session with the chancellor 'Rishi Sunak' on wednesday to run through possible options for averting another nationwide lockdown that could stall any potential economic recovery.

Among the measures proposed to curb the spread includes requesting for the older people to shield once more.Under the proposal, a greater number of people would be asked to take part in the shielding programme,they would be asked based on their age or a particular risk factor that has been identified when covid-19 outbreak was at it peak in UK.

The shielding advice was lifted on Saturday for the people living in England,Northern Ireland and Scotland.
While the shielding advice also remained enforced in places like Greater Manchester.

The housing secretary, Robert Jenrick reported plans to introduce more shielding for older people, He told Radio Times that "This was just speculation. You would expect the government to be considering all of the range of options that might be available. That's not something that is being actively considered".
