What you need to know about twitter hack and what it affects.

The twitter hack has been affecting the world as major companies,brands and individuals accounts has now been affected by as they cannot have access to their accounts. 

According to reports on the hack, although reasons or how it was done is not known at the time of this post.

Twitter reveals that it own employee tool contributed to unprecedented hack,twitter confirms that the hackers compromised high profile account.

Twitter announced through their twitter account that their internal system where also compromised, citing that the hackers had access to the company's own tool and employee privileges.

Among the high profile accounts compromised includes the CEO of Tesla account, Elon Musk, Founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates, Former President of the US, Barack Obama and the Democratic presidential candidate, Joe Biden. 

According to twitter official support account, 

"We detected what we believe to be a coordinated social engineering attack by people who successfully targeted some of our employees who have access to internal system and tools"

"We know they used this access to take many control of many highly-invisible(including verified) accounts and tweets on their behalf"

Twitter says that their investigation is still ongoing as they have acknowledged that the hacking was not done just by an individual but also some numbers of employees were also compromised that has access to their internal system and tools.

Not too long after the hack was done ,twitter immediately locked down the affected accounts and removed the tweets that was posted by the hackers, it then disabled the ability for verified account to send new tweets. 

According to twitter.

"This was disruptive but it was an important step to reduce risk. Most functionality has been restored but we will take further actions and will update you if we do"

"We have locked account that were compromised and will restore to the original account owner,only when we are certain we can do so securely".

The following updates on twitter unprecedented hack cites that the hacking was not only done by an individual but also included a unknown number of employees that has access to the company's internal system and tools. This hacking is suggested not to be just for the purpose of bitcoin but also might involve political and some business affairs.
