Bill gates says that covid-19 vaccines should be given to where it is needed most and not to the highest bidder.

Bill gates who is one of the world richest man, who is currently the second on the list of the richest in the world and the co-founder of Microsoft Inc donated $250 million to the Covid-19 through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Gates said that the drugs and future vaccines that are to be created should be supplied to where they are needed instead of the highest bidder for the drugs.

According to Reuter reports,Bill Gates said in a video for virtual covid-19 conference organized by the international AID society.

"If we let the drugs and vaccines go to the highest bidder, instead of to the people and the places where they are most needed,we will have a longer, more unjust, deadlier pandemic"

"We need leaders to make these hard decisions about distributing based on equity, not just on market-driven factors".

Following the covid-19 pandemic, billions of dollars has been invested for the research and manufacturing of the vaccines by the European Union and the United States,and the European commission and the World Health Organisation(WHO) have warned against unhealthy competition in the research,manufacturing and sale of the drug.
