APC national chairman says that rules can't be changed for Godwin Obaseki.

The national chairman of the All Progressive Congress(APC), Adams Oshiomole recently stated that the APC political party cannot bend it rules for the Edo state governor Godwin Obaseki over past incidents were the Edo state governor was disqualified from partaking as the APC governorship candidate.

The national chairman made this known to the public after a brief meeting he had with the president chief of staff, Ibrahim Gambari on matters that were not made known to the public.

In his statement, he cited that he doesn't know the next move or plans of the Edo state governor.but said that every member of the APC political party must abide to the rules and regulations of the party.

According to the statements;

I don't know about exit,what we see from your media,electronic and print is that he visited a number of PDP governors.we read from electronic and print that those consultations may have to do with the plan and so on.but we are not here to speculate.our party is not a party for big men .it is governed by rules.both small and big are subjected to those rules.Am sure you will agree that our president led by example when we conducted the direct primary in the last presidential election. We still went to Eagle square for confirmation.

 So if the president does not have the rights of first refusal cause our constitution does not provide for it.we cannot under any circumstances bend the rules when it comes to some people change the rules when it comes to others. Our duty as the management board of APC is that we strictly obey the provisions of our constitution which empowers the national working committee to conduct primaries for governor,president,national assembly and state assembly.

In the above statement of the national chairman ,he cited that the Edo state governor had been visiting "a number of PDP governors".Among the governors the governor Obaseki has been visiting includes Governor of River states,Governor Wike.
