Lagos state house of assembly speaker, Obasa cleared of corruption allegation by lawmakers.
The Lagos State house of assembly speaker, Mudashiru Obasa has cleared all the allegations that were up against him.
Victor Akande who is the representative of Ojo constituency 1 and also the of nine-man-fact-finding which probed mudashiru obasa announced that all the allegations that were made up against him were "frivolous" or matters of little weights or non importance during the presentation of his panel's report on June 8th.
The panels that recommends that the clerk of the house of Azeez Sanni should investigate how the documents which led to the allegations against the speaker were leaked, maintained that obasa followed due process in disbursement funds.
The panels clearance of obasa was put to a voice note by the house majority leader Sanai Agunbiade.
According to Akande;
"We also recommend that the activities of the house should be digitalised for proper record keeping and monitoring.
"it was then suggested by the committee that a vote of confidence should be passed in the speaker of the house.
"The speaker did not have multiple accounts with Ecobank, the BVN ascribed to wema bank does not belong to him and the companies attributed to him in wema bank does not belong to him".
