Don jazzy, MI, and Tiwa savage gives their opinions concerning the r*pe allegations against D'banj.
Following the r*pe allegations that has been happening recently, many r*pe allegations has been has been called out and some celebrities were also included in the list.
Among the celebrities include the Koko master, D'Banj,D'banj was recently called out by a Nigerian girl that said he se*ually assaulted her in an hotel in Lagos state.The alleged rape allegations against D'banj could not be proven by the accuser, D'banj pressed charges against the lady afterwards she was arrested some celebrities reacted to the incident.
Mavin record boss, Don jazzy posted to his twitter handle saying that.
"This particular case saddens my soul but i am not competent to investigate or judge this matter ,I implore the police to thoroughly investigate courts to do justice and report to appropriate quarters.
"It is also important that every accused person is given an opportunity to set the fact straight ,for most of us, all we have is good names our parents have given us and we must protect and bequeath to our own successors.
"No matter how a long lie last, the truth will always prevail.The fact is one of them is a victim and the law will protect that person. I stand against rape and all injustices against women".
Tiwa savage posted to her twitter handle also;
I Hear you all and even though this is heart breaking for me,my view is still the same.i stand strong with all the victims of se*ual abuse,so i say this 1.victims should always come out and speak their truth 2.those found guilty must be punished to the full extent of the law ".
MI also commented to the situation saying;
"Society will not improve if we do not tear down the systematic method by which women and girls who accuse people of violating them are silenced.There can be no sacred issue on this issue".
"We cannot say that we stand with women and then be silent against all actions that say to all women clearly,it is better to be silent than to speak...any abuse of power and authority cannot be accepted in disregard.
"To brave women like kidi Mordi @ayodejiosowobi and @ozzyetomi who used their platform to fight over the last few hours...thank you for the courage and leadership.. to all organization silently working on behalf of gender based violence... thankyou.
"Some days I'm afraid to be a man,because of how much we have failed our sisters, mothers, friends, daughters.. And I know if i do not speak out today I will be complicit in a system that tells women... "Shut up and don't say anything ".
