Lionel Messi says Barca can't win champions league playing like they used to play.

Multiple Ballon d'or winner,Lionel Messi who has the highest numbers of ballon d'or has proposed a suggestion persuading his colleagues to improve more despite the corona virus pandemic.

Messi cited that the incoming match that they were going to be played by them and Napoli would not be in their favour if they did not improve their performance's.
Messi advised his colleagues to improve on their physical fitness and performance due to the corona virus lockdown that had made them stopped training,which might reduce their performance's.

The Covid-19 impact on sport has made sporting activities extremely hard which also brought top leagues like Champions League,La Liga and others to a halt thereby reducing their income because of restrictions not allowing club fans to visit club stadiums and also affecting players salaries which has also made some players to protest for reduction of salaries.As Elche players refuse to attend training on wednesday in a protest at the club recent wage reduction.

Before the lockdown Barca had been preparing to for the second leg of their champions league last tie against Napoli then it was put to an halt.

When Messi was interviewed by Sport about his opinion on when thinks the champions league competitions might resume. 

According to his speech;

"I never doubted the squad we have and I have no doubt that we can win all that remains,but not by playing in the way we were playing.

"Now every one had their own opinion,and they are all very respectable,mine is based on the fact that I was lucky to play in the champions league every year and I know that it is not possible to win it by playing as we have been playing,perhaps Setien misunderstood.

"This break may end up benefiting us, but we are going to see if they can start the competitions and there we leave doubts.cause we will check the level that we have or we can reach when we start. 

"Going back to training is a first step but we should not trust ourselves and we must continue taking all the necessary precautions and assume that we have to start playing the games when they arrive but behind closed doors.

"Personally I am looking forward to the competition,we know that everything is going to be weird,without fans in the stadium and with the theme of concentration that we really would not like to have to be separated from our families.you have to see how it looks.

"Physically I feel well,i was training at home these days and I think it helped me to keep fit".
