Five former Osasuna directors and two ex real betis players jailed for match fixing.
Amid the covid-19 outbreak the victims have violated the restriction law by planning for a match to be played in Spanish top flight.
It was confirmed and reported that Amaya and Torres have had agreement to accept money to influence matches that would benefit Osasuna.
Osasuna managing director Angel Vizcay was sentenced to the highest,he was given eight years and eight months including charges for misappropriation of funds falsification of accounts corruption in sports,he was convicted with four other director.
The court documents said that Osasuna directors has agreed to pay Amaya and Torres an amount of €650,000 to help Betis win Real Valladolid in the ultimate match of 2013/14 to lose their game of the campaign against Osasuna.
Betis had already been relegated and finished bottom of the table,beat valladolid 4-3,while Osasuna won 2-1 against betis but were still relegated.
The two real estate agents were convicted for falsifying documents to help Osasuna balance the book for the 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 seasons,Vicay and the other jailed victims were told to reimburse the club €2,340,000 for the misuse of funds during those past seasons.
According to Osasuna president;
"we are happy,osasuna were the ones who brought the case to the court because when we arrived at the club we saw things we didn't like,i think the suspicion we had has been confirmed and the court have done their jobs. "
Other football organisation like laliga accepted and welcomed the case that has just been confirmed.
