Dr Fauci says sports can come back if athletes and their families are able to pay the price.
U.S health specialist, Dr Anthony Fauci has announced that there could still be sport activities in the world during the corona virus pandemic,but he explained that for this dream to come into play there are safety health precautions that should be taken to avoid death and widespread of covid-19 pandemic.
Fauci said that for athletes to be able to perform their sport activities there has to be fully capable and efficient corona virus treatment team to be around the corner Incase of any sign of the case.
The reason he said that athletes will have to stay away from their families is because,if the disease is contracted by any member of the team during playtime,training,eating or sport hours,and the athletes contract the virus then transfer it to their household without knowing may lead to a increased death rate and loss for the athletes and the world at large.
The other major reason he said so, was the nature of sport activities,buildings and properties,it is always crowded and over crowded because of the love people have for sports,which will definitely lead to a very large amount of contracting and spreading the covid-19 pandemic which would also lead to death which is also a global loss.so these occurrences should be prevented in every means possible.which is why he has put forward the conditions.
According to Fauci,
“There's a way of doing that,nobody comes to the stadium put athletes in big stadium wherever you want to play.keep them very surveilled but have them tested like every week and make sure that they don't wind up effecting each other or their families,and just let them play the season out.”
Some others including the New York City mayor Bill De Blasio.
