Despite the warning that was given to Turkey by the Americans they insisted on purchasing an S-400 missile from the Russians.
The Russians delivered the first S 400 missile defense mechanism which has long air range defense regional system on the 12th July 2019 in an air base in Ankara. The ministry reported in a speech,the transaction which was made by air transportation,has caused some tension in the White House that there would be a side effect on the continued transaction of the two countries.
Washington Dc made clear to Turkey that they were not happy with the current situation and threatened they were going to remove turkey from their F-35 fighter jets programme,they also told turkey that they knew that they were going against the law passed by the congress on 2017 that imposed sactions to any country that get involved with the mass purchase of weapons from the Russians.
During a meeting in Japan,Erdogan told trump that Barack Obama did not allowed them(ankara)to buy patriotic missile which is now equivalent to the S-400 missile.Although Donald Trump sounded convinced but urged that it was not a good way to purchase.Tension are if America is going to remove them from the F-35 fighter jets programme.
