The presidential election petition has approved the PDP candidate Atiku Abubakar to announce the 48 video evidence to back his accusation against Buhari.
During the last presidential election, the People Democratic Party(PDP)candidate Atiku Abubakar had accused the the All Progressive Congress(APC) candidate Muhammadu Buhari of rigging the election results, that the PDP had 1.6 million vote over the APC,which was twisted to the APC party.
And permission for the PDP to go through the election results video was not given to them to scan through the video for evidence to back up their accusations against the APC party.the Independent National Electoral Commission and the opposing party APC had seriously objected for the permission to scan through the video by the PDP. And Segun Showunmi who is the spokesman of Atiku Abubakar presidential campaign permission was also rejected.
Recently,at the tribunal on monday 15th July 2019,Chris Uche who is the counsel to the petitioners implemented that they should present their best witness.Uche then said that the video clips recorded would be played in other to complete the process.
Then the APC counsellor,Faseyi Akintola told the tribunal that they should have informed them to bring their best witness and evidence.Alex Izinyo who was also with Faseyi Akintola objected and said that the new development was made to take them by suprise.
According to Izinyo;your lordship they were not part of the documents listed.Uztaz Usman Who is the counsel to the INEC argued that the presentation of the witness and evidence was not part of what they agreed on.he said that they were taken by surprise.
Which lead Mohammed Garba(who lead the tribunal) to dismiss the submission made by the INEC saying that the agreement was not acceptable in the Court.
Which has now granted the PDP to gain access to the video clips that was recorded during the election periods.
