Johny Clegg the white Zulu,who went against the law to be with the Zulu and practiced the Language to make songs has now died.
Johny Clegg had the music name "the white Zulu"because he learned the language,culture and high kicks of the Zulu dance in South Africa creating a way to connect with the black race in defiance of the segregation law at the prestigious times in South Africa.
Johny Clegg continued to progress in his act before he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer,but still yet he continued with the energy he had put into his music.he was not stopped because of depression of the cancer.
After being diagnosed with cancer,after many tours finally went for the last which was across many countries in Africa in 2017.
He then died of cancer at his house at johannesburg on tuesday 2019 at the age of 66.
With the achievement of a successful career that had lasted four decades.which sold more than five million album copies,received international awards and produced anti-racial song during the south africa struggle to freedom and it multi-racial democracy in the Year 1994
He produced a particular song with title "Asinbonanga" which was dedicated to Mandela and released in 1987 when Nelson Mandela was jailed to the apartheid state.
The song he wrote was banned by the authorities but was sanged by the citizens which was one of the first song produced that was calling for the release of Late Nelson Mandela who was locked away for 21 years and photos of him was also banned from public or published instruments.
Clegg was born in 1953 in bakup in England and then moved to Zimbabwe with his mother where he first saw Zulu migrants playing and performing Zulu culture in the song.
In his young age he got interested in the culture and learnt more from the singers.
He said he once felt like an immigrant when he was interviewed by the New York Times.
He took his passion with him and today he is remembered for the great work he had done both by his music style with the Zulu's and by standing with south africa's very own.The great Nelson Mandela.
